MIKE CASSIDY is the PUBLIC SERVICES DIRECTOR, overseeing the operations of the Jessamine County Recycling / Convenience Center and oversees Jessamine County Animal Care and Control. He works to assist property owners in cleaning up open dumps. He also investigates complaints regarding road side littering. He works in conjunction with Jailer Jon Sallee and the Jessamine County Detention Center in roadside debris pickup.
Mike also oversees Jessamine County’s storm water management plan. Jessamine County works with PRIDE, Bluegrass PRIDE and the Kentucky Division of Waste Management in obtaining funding for various clean-up projects.

Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Closed Sunday.
Items accepted: Wood, Carpet, Mattress and Box Springs, Couches, Metal, Drywall, Appliances, Construction Debris, Cardboard, Batteries, Tanks for Gas Grills, and Furniture.
Items not accepted: Regular Household Garbage, Food Scraps, Wet Items, Liquids, Rocks, Brick, Dirt, Concrete, Brush, and Blacktop.
Note: We are a drop-off facility. We are unable to provide pick-up.
No Oil accepted. Oil is accepted free of charge at the Road Department.
