
Judge Neal Cassity
Wm. Neal Cassity Judge Wm. Neal Cassity is a fifth generation Jessamine countian whose service to and representation of Jessamine County began in 1972 when he was elected to the local school board. He served in that capacity for eight years. He was then appointed to the board of Jessamine County Water District #1, elected Chairman and remained until 1990. He was elected County Judge/Executive in 1990 and is currently serving his third term in office. Under Judge Cassity’s leadership, Jessamine County has: * Increased its public protection departments. Judge Cassity has always been active in local organizations currently he is a member of Jessamine County United Way, Beef Cattle Association, Lions Club, the Jessamine Co. Ky River Task Force and the Camp Nelson Foundation. In addition to his work locally, he also represents Jessamine County on several statewide boards — he is the former chairman of the Kentucky River Authority, an executive board member of the Bluegrass Area Development District, and a member of the KY County Judge/Executive’s Association. Judge Cassity is married to Joyce (Combs) Cassity who is also a lifelong resident of Jessamine County and very active in community events and organizations. Judge and Joyce live on, own and operate the family farm. They have two children, Mark and Amy, and two grandchildren, Morgan and Will.

* Secured funding for site development, construction and renovations at Camp Nelson Heritage Park and High Bridge Park.
* Increased environmental awareness and initiated programs such as KY River Clean Sweep, County Wide Clean-Up, and built a County-wide Recycling Center.
* Secured funding for a new industrial park.
* Maintained one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state for several years.
